Saying it with flowers

What an excellent art session we had this week with volunteer Sharon at our Wimborne St Giles Jolly Day.

We all had a go at decorating our own individual petals which were then put together to create a wonderful, big, jolly flower that represented all the things that our Jolly Days mean to us all.

It was so heartwarming to see words such as love, laughter, friendship, joy, happiness and fun adorning these beautifully decorated petals.

Can you spot our lovely volunteer Carol hiding behind her petal among the photos below? And also Margaret who’s always so absorbed when doing anything creative, she does loves drawing and finds it very relaxing and therapeutic, as do our other guests.

And what a creative bunch we are! We do feel lucky to have such a fabulous group of friends that come together for our Jollies. We couldn’t do it without the help of the volunteers who make it all possible by working hard behind the scenes to ensure everything goes smoothly.

I’m a web designer and I love creating beautiful, affordable websites that work hard for small businesses. Simply put, a business needs a website to reach more customers. It needs to look good but it also needs to work hard. That’s where I can help, I build cost-effective, good looking websites that are both mobile and google friendly.
